How it Works

Menus

New menus come out weekly, make sure that you are signed up for our newsletter.  Order anytime before two on Friday for Monday delivery.

Bags

If this is your first time ordering, please include a bag deposit with your first order (on the Extras page).  This will ensure you receive one of our signature, insulated bags for each order moving forward.  Please leave your used bag on your porch for us to pick up with each subsequent order.  If you don't plan on using our services, you can return your bag to us for a full refund.  Also, please feel free to buy multiple bags if you would like to use them for your own shopping.

Delivery

Your meals will be delivered between 11am and 5pm on Monday. If you will not be home at that time, the meals can be left in your cooler with ice packs on your porch and meals should be refrigerated immediately.   Meals come in recyclable containers, we encourage you to reuse these handy containers. You may also pick up at our Shoreline kitchen to avoid any delivery charge.

Delivery is $3 for orders over $120, $7.95 for orders over $50 and $12.95           for orders under $50  **we have recently added a $3 increase in delivery             charges to accommodate the rapid rise in fuel prices**

We currently deliver to:

FAQ:

Our goal is to make your life easier, but sometimes there are questions…

How do I cook these meals?

Meals will come with cooking instructions.  When in doubt, warm your meals in the microwave with the lid slightly opened at 50% power in 1 minute increments until heated through.  It is best to stir soups every 1 minute to ensure even cooking. Most dishes can be transferred to an oven-safe dish and baked at 300 for 15-20 minutes until heated through. All cooked meals should be heated to an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

CONSUMING RAW OR UNDERCOOKED MEATS, POULTRY, SEAFOOD, SHELLFISH, OR EGGS MAY INCREASE YOUR RISK OF FOODBORNE ILLNESS.

What do I do with my used containers?

Please reuse them!  They make excellent leftover containers, pencil boxes, junk drawer liners, and so much more.  We are also happy to have them back in our kitchen after you wash them.  We never reuse them for customers, but we love them for prepping ingredients, or taking our own meals home from the kitchen.

What do I do with my bags each week?

After you have paid the bag deposit, you will start to receive our signature, insulated red bags.  Please leave the red bag your meals are delivered in on your porch prior to your next delivery.   We sanitize our bags, let them rest for a few weeks and then reuse.

Do I have to be home to receive my delivery?

If the weather is above 70 or you won’t be home within an hour, please leave a cooler on your porch – ice packs are great too!  It is best to refrigerate your meals as soon as you return home.

Do you have ingredient lists or nutritional information?

At this time we don't have this information published. If you have allergies,           please ask about specific dishes, we are happy to let you know about                 potential allergens.  Our facilities do process nuts and should not be                     considered nut-free for anyone with severe allergies.

**we are currently working on adding ingredients to our product information**

 How long do meals last?

Most meals are designed to last up to a week in the fridge, but there are exceptions: seafood and green salads are best eaten in the first day or two after delivery.  Some meals (like ready-to-cook lasagnas) are terrific frozen for later use,  just defrost in the refrigerator for 24 hours before following the cooking instructions.  Other meals can be frozen too, though some ingredients – like potatoes – can turn out a bit mealy when cooked after freezing (except for our breakfast burritos, which freeze and reheat amazingly well).

What happens to your leftover food?

We partner with two community groups: New Bethlehem Center in Kirkland (https://www.nbpshelter.org/) and God's Little Acre in Seattle.  Both provide meals and resources to neighbors experiencing homelessness.
